Our Facility

Specially Designed For Children

Gym Time

The John Kenney Child Care Center at Heller Park is housed in a 9,000 square foot building that cost over $1,000,000 to construct. Although built to meet the needs of children, it is simple and functional.

Virtually every interior wall is lined with windows so the children can be observed at all times. Bathrooms in each classroom have child-sized fixtures and four-foot partitions, affording privacy while permitting supervision by the staff.

Each age group has its own self-sufficient classroom, and each classroom opens into a recreation room. In addition, there is a large, grassy play area with an extraordinary collection of outdoor play equipment, designed for children's safety.

A Safe Environment

Time Clock

For maximum security, parents and staff use a state-of-the-art key fob entry system to open the front door electronically. If an emergency were to occur, hidden panic buttons throughout the center would bring immediate help from the police.

Our entire building is equipped with an automatic sprinkler and security system connected to a central station monitoring agency.

Parents sign a notarized authorization form which is kept on file. This states who has permission to take the child from the center and who will assume responsibility in case of an emergency. Children will not be released to anyone else.

Each child is issued a color-coded time card. Children or parents punch in upon arrival and punch out at departure.

The center is a smoke-free facility.
